Judge Dana A. Gutierrez


Judge Dana A. Gutierrez is a daughter of Guam. Upon her graduation from the Academy of Our Lady of Guam, Judge Gutierrez attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and East Asian Area Studies in 1993, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 1997.

Before her appointment, Judge Gutierrez worked in both the private and public sectors in Guam, including serving as the Judiciary of Guam’s Director of Policy, Planning and Community Relations. She has more than 20 years of experience in private practice, in the areas of labor and employment law, business planning, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. She was a frequent presenter on employment issues for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Guam Chapter, and has served on the SHRM Guam Chapter Board of Directors. Judge Gutierrez has also served on the Guam Bar Association Board of Governors, the Guam Law Library Board of Trustees, the Guam Girl Scouts Board of Directors, and the Guam Solid Waste Authority Board of Directors.

Judge Gutierrez is married to David Hurchanik and they have a son, Mateo David.
